First they came for the Communists And I did not speak out Because I was not a Communist

But because the man that wrote it stood up and fought until the end for what he believed is right and because he paid a big price for this fight. He became an example for others to follow. So it’s not only words but consequently actions, that made this poem so popular and so true. Martin Niemöller R.I.P
